Norman Cook, conocido profesionalmente como Fatboy Slim, habló recientemente sobre el estado de su carrera musical en una entrevista con The Sun. El DJ y productor británico admitió que ha perdido la motivación para crear música.
“Mis dos últimos sencillos surgieron de un concierto en vivo. Fueron piezas que hice exclusivamente para tocarlas en mis presentaciones”, explicó Fatboy Slim. “La verdad es que no puedes hacer música a menos que realmente te apasione y te impulse desde el momento en que te despiertas. Y parece que ya no siento eso. Lo mismo me pasa con ser DJ y hacer cosas como esta, en general, he perdido la pasión por hacer música”, compartió el artista, quien lanzó su último álbum de estudio, Palookaville, en 2004.
“Durante cinco años intenté forzarme a seguir haciendo música, diciéndome a mí mismo: ‘Deberías estar trabajando en esto’. Pero luego pensé: ‘A la gente le gusta mi trabajo como DJ, y a mí me gusta más, así que me concentraré en eso’. Espero que algún día la pasión regrese”, agregó en la misma entrevista.
